Great Oaks was commissioned to help with an extensive renovation of an existing shopping center in Bloomfield Township, Michigan. The existing landscape conditions obscured visual sightlines to the storefronts from the road and did not reflect the upscale character of the tenants. Remedying these issues while unifying the renovated building architecture with a simplified architecture perimeter became the primary goals of the project.
Highlights Include:
- Removed unorganized and overgrown trees that previously blocked site lines from the road
- Used engineered block to create a plantable terrace that reflects the building architecture
- Repeated pattern of trees that define the site and help set it apart from neighboring properties
- Helped the shopping center project an upscale image with the elegant fence, masonry columns, and mature plants
