The client wanted to extend the modern design of their newly renovated lakefront home into the landscape, maximizing their space for outdoor living. With an existing deck that restricted access from the house to the lakefront, we wanted to create a greater feeling of openness and create a path that would provide guests with clear direction and access to the water.

Highlights Include:
- Contemporary materials that blend with the modern design of the home
- Light colored treads placed on black risers give the illusion of floating steps
- Each retaining wall is made of concrete paver blocks with slightly different finishes, with each block slightly offset from the neighboring block
- Simple, modern plant palette
